Teacher Candidate Competencies
The teacher candidate competencies are an outcome-based method for assessing performance during the student teaching internship. They define key characteristics of successful teachers. At UAH, teacher candidates are required to show evidence of meeting six competencies in the following areas:
Content Expert, Pedagogical Expert, Critical Thinking, Diversity, Communication, and Professionalism.
